Without question, our red stag hunt in Scotland is right at the top of the list of the most exciting and exceptional hunting values that we at International Adventures have put together in the 40 years we have been taking people big game hunting. For over twenty years now, we have offered our clients Red Stag hunts in Scotland on a complete package basis, which makes for a stress free trip for our guests.
This hunt is very popular for several reasons. First, my wife, Danielle, and I are in Scotland running the hunting and touring ourselves, (we are not booking agents) thus personally responsible for the success of our guests’ experience from the moment they arrive in Scotland. Second, our basic package includes round trip airfare from your nearest, major international airport, all airport transfers, meals, and lodging at the luxurious Lands of Loyal Hotel, an old 18th century Duke’s Estate, and the harvesting of one hill stag, which is a wild stag running in the high heather hills.
These complete packages are priced less than $6,000 today, as the US Dollar is trading very strong against the British Pound. Another aspect that makes this opportunity so unique is I also have the exclusive right to incredible estate stags on the best estates in Scotland and England, to which our hunters can upgrade to, which are unquestionably the best private herds of red stag in all of Scotland. The top Scottish estate stags have come from our main herd for over 46 years! A comparable head elsewhere could cost several times as much as what we charge.
While on this trip, roe deer, fallow deer, and Soay rams may also be taken at a cost of $175.00 an outing, plus $950.00 for a roe buck or a ram and $1,450.00 for a fallow buck. Trophy fees for those same animals can also cost several times that in other parts of Europe.
Our package begins with the guest’s departure on day one, arrival in Scotland on day two, transfers to the hunting area on day three, hunting and other activities on days four, five, and six, and their return flight home on day seven. Hunters may extend their stay in Europe at their own expense if they wish. These hunts can be taken in 2018 subject to availability, or a future year with prices locked in at the current rate if you book now! If interested, please request a full packet of information that contains details and pictures of this very special hunting opportunity.
Special non-hunting packages that include roundtrip airfare, transfers, meals, lodging, and private escorted tours are offered for under $3,000.
Under my US Fish and Wildlife import/export license, I will ship, import, and clear my clients’ trophies at cost in less than 60 days after the conclusion of our hunt.
In 1128, a rebellious King David was warned by his priest not to go hunting on the Feast Day of the Holy Rood (Holy Cross). Stubbornly, he set off on the hunt and came across a large white stag, which he chased. Thrown from his horse, the stag charged him. David cried out to God to save him, at at that precise instant, a cross appeared between the deer’s antlers, and the animal vanished. King David built Holy Rood Church on the spot where his live was spared. From then on, the white stag became a symbol of purity, redemption and good fortune in Scotland. This rare genetic mutation, called leucism, occurs only once in then thousand red deer.
